In a city without cars, Julian Schnabel’s Venice Biennale work, The Ones You Didn’t Write – The Maybach Car”, certainly stands out. The work, essentially a vandalized test car, drawings by Vahakn Arslanian inside the windows and Schnabel’s scrawl on the body. It has also been shot at. A take on luxury, and a whole lot more.
